Registration:
  • Any person who identifies as Metis, who is the direct descendant of an Aboriginal and European couple, and who can prove Metis ancestry through verifiable genealogical, historical and legal documents

  • $10 card replacement
History:
  • Represents “métis” from Maritimes to north-eastern ON, splintered from Métis Federation of Canada in late 2016 and took eight of its board members.
  • Held first “assembly” in Edmundston, NB in July 2017.
  • Board members actively denigrate Métis Nation.
  • “Chief” publicly attacks Indigenous people (Mi’kmaq and Métis) and/or academics who disagree with CFMPC politics.
    • Tried to ban academic presentation at McMaster University in March 2018.  
    • Called for firing of a Métis woman who’s a public employee for comments about “Eastern Métis”.
